Toystory of terror imagined as children's book

I studied a scene from the pixar short "toystory of terror" and imagined it to be a spread page from a children's book titled the same...I enjoyed painting this.Hope it has the storybook feel I really want it to have.Inspired by lot of great Children's book artist, but I've gotta mention Disney's Lorelay bove and my great friend Tory Polska.

Didn't settle with only an african look,i mixed the settings,to me it looks great!

I got the sketch of this character (assumed to be a goblin) from an awesome artist friend Danny Van who is also studying in Animschool(3d character / environmental modelling).I love the expression and asked if i could colour it,he showed great humility and said he would love to see it coloured.Here is the result.Check out the sketch in this link and don't forget to like the page.Thank you so much Guys!!!

Hello guys,here is another one.Still practicing using basic shapes to develop a character,I got all the awesome tips from the Animschool's Heidi smith character design class.Ever since, my designing sense has changed,and i have to add,its an awesome time for me,since i will be learning character animation from professionals in the top studios in the world as WDAS,Bluesky,Dreamworks,Blizzard,Pixar,SPA and more(name it!).woooh!

After watching the Animschool's Heidi smith character design session i was really inspired by how she uses simple shape to tell great story..i decided to take my character designing a little bit further with a simple shape..wow and this is what i came out with.Hope you like it.What kind of boss do you think he is?
